Description
This class will present an inspiring account of one of the finest Building Information Modeling (BIM) implementations at Msheireb, Qatar, comprising of 14 buildings—22-level hotel, 4-level parking, office, apartments, cultural and entertainment center—covering more than 4 million square feet. This BIM case study has ample examples to understand the critical factors that determined the success of this complex project that involved stakeholders from more than 15 countries, more than 20 trades, and a breathtaking rigid construction schedule in spite of 26 major change bulletins. Attendees will learn the best practices on BIM workflow, and strategies for complete project-lifecycle implementation. We’ll also cover how to customize Building Design Suite software, and how to use different tools and processes for BIM setup, design and change management, value engineering, constructability review, and accurate coordinated shop drawings for uninterrupted construction, site logistics, and construction management.
