Turning Thread is a toolpath strategy used for turning OD, ID, cylindrical and conical threads. The CNC control must have built-in support for synchronizing the spindle and feed. You can create single lead or multiple leads threads of any pitch. In this example we will be creating a 1.5mm pitch thread on the 20mm diameter shaft at the front of the part (M20 x 1.5) and controlling the infeed style.
