Import and connect a device holding component

To complete the project, you’ll build upon your knowledge of assemblies to import an existing component into your design, modify multiple components, create joints, and apply appearances to components.

After completing this section, you’ll be able to:

• Use the Align tool to locate components in relation to one another.
• Understand when Capture Position is useful and appropriate in the design process.
• Create a centerline and use it as a reference for dimensions.
• Create a circular pattern of features around a construction axis.
• Apply appearances to components.
